Getting to Love a Traeger
Who doesn't like great grilled, smoked meat? Well, there are some, but if you are a partaker in deliciously prepared meats, man, have I got something for you. From the reports that I have found from current Traeger owners, once you have one you will never use another cooker again. I call it a cooker because it does so much more than grill. It smokes, grills, roasts, and bakes. It is a grill, smoker, and convection oven all in one.
The awesomeness of the Traeger is that it is so easy to use. You can set it to the correct temperature, and it will handle the rest. The cooker has a hopper that requires the Traeger wood pellets, which we will discuss in a minute. The auger feeds to pellets to the pot keeping the cooker at a consistent temperature. You will want to use the Traeger brand wood pellets to get the right flavoring. Don't try to use wood stove pellets because they can contain glue. You really don't want your food tasting of glue.
This grill is all about ease of use and taste. The taste comes from using real wood and the flavoring of the pellets. There are many flavors to choose from. The burn rate of the pellets are about 1lb. per hour for smoking and 2lbs. per hour for grilling.
You can not only cook meats but vegetables, bake cookies, and fire up pizza. What are you waiting for? "Stop grilling and start Traeger'ing!"
